Contact Information for Sober College
Founded in 2005 with the goal of providing specialized drug and alcohol treatment for young adults, Sober College offers clients the opportunity to earn college and high school credit while in treatment. Our one-of-a-kind dual-diagnosis treatment program incorporates accredited on-site college courses, music, film, broadcast studios, extramural sports, and experiential therapies, and is grounded in the belief that life doesn’t stop when you’re sober; in fact, it flourishes. In treating addiction from a brain perspective with its Five Core Competency Model, Sober College has helped thousands of individuals aged 18 to 26 recover, solidifying its place at the forefront of addiction treatment.
The development of the Sober College curriculum is based on years of research, consultation with experts, but most importantly, built on the experiences of young adults recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Newly sober young adults have age-specific challenges that are often overlooked by traditional treatment programs, sober living environments and educational settings. The Sober College platform utilizes an integrated and accredited curriculum that delivers relevant life skills to participants, teaching them the tools they need to stay sober both during treatment and once they leave our care.
We’ve created an incredibly unique treatment environment, designed just for the young adult, which is both engaging and therapeutic. Sober College’s focus is finding a balance in the Five Core Competencies of our program - Productivity, Life Skills, Emotional Intelligence, Fitness, and Sobriety - which we believe, fosters quality, long-term recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, as well as success in life.
Sober College is the only drug treatment program that offers on-site, rolling admissions and WASC accredited courses while in treatment. Through our partnership with Woodbury University, students at Sober College can earn up to 15 college credits, and/or complete high school, while in treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. We believe that young adults and adolescents do not have to put their life or their education on hold to get the help that they need.
