We understand if you feel compelled to use colorful language (health care is a messy business!) but we can’t allow anyone to threaten bodily injury, write hate speech, and/or include racist words meant to denigrate or offend on the basis of belonging to a particular group, religion, ethnicity, or race.

Try to be kind.

If you can avoid it, we would prefer you not disclose personally identifiable information or data about Genesis Sober Living or their recent or current clients.

Also, we can’t allow you to beg, borrow, or steal content from someone else’s review of Genesis Sober Living and publish it here.

Out of 6 places I've been, this was the worst.

I have been to six rehabs in California and Genesis was the worst facility I could imagine. Located in a sketchy part of LA, this one star facility is sure to give you one star treatment. The beds have half inch thin mattress pads which are only a comfort to those used to park benches, the rooms are packed 4+ to a room, the therapy does not exist they just bill your insurance $24,000 per month for to take you to AA meetings. This place is run by totally unqualified "sober" dudes making minimum wage; what can you expect? I was there for less than a week but I did see how it could appeal to a certain self flagellating type of person who wants more grit than help, but if you want help do not go to genesis or any associated places. There are much better options in this price bracket, don't waste your time, money or life on this disaster of a rehab.

pleasantly surprised

61 days ago I used this site to find a facility where I could finally get clean. My insurance was shitty so i wanted to find the best place i could possibly go to that would take the shitty policy I had. Truthfully I can't believe what a good experience I had. For the first month I had 6 hours of therapy a day and it was paired down to three hours a day in my second month. I got seen once a week by a therapist and once a week by a case manager, both of whom i will never forget for their compassion.
